"I don't want to work at a place where I don't have to lock my car." - Mo Davis, HFD

"If you want to be a banker, you work in wall street, if you wanna be a fireman, you work in the ghetto." - Bob Galione, FDNY R2

Urban City Fire Tactics (previously Urban City Truck Tactics) was established in 2021 as a Social Media platform to share fireground tactics, primarily those focused towards Truck Company Operations. The idea is to provide information based from real world experiences.

The owner of Urban City Fire Tactics grew up at the shore area of New Jersey. Starting as a junior member with the Seaside Heights Fire Department, Ocean County #44 at 16 yrs. old. While serving as a dedicated volunteer with the Unexcelled Fire Company #4 of the Neptune Fire Department, Monmouth County, in 2015, moved south to pursue a dream as a career fireman. Hired in December 2015 with the City of Pooler Fire Department in Pooler, Georgia. Serving on Engine 63, Engine 61, Engine 64 and back to Engine 61 while also becoming tiller qualified on Truck 61. In 2019, furthered his career and was hired with the City of North Charleston in South Carolina, currently assigned as the Captain on one of the busiest engines, Engine Co. #3 in Midtown.

Urban City Fire Tactics is directly involved with the Lowcountry Fire Conference that is hosted by the Charleston-Metro F.O.O.L.S. Chapter in Summerville, S.C., annually. Known as "Lowcountry Truck School: Fundamentals to Truck Tactics" is a 2-day H.O.T. class that includes training under live fire conditions. The class is led by a group of instructors who are proven in their profession. And their only goal is to share their respected knowledge to those who care about our sworn oaths. There's no "advance- this, advance- that", just tactics. Plain and simple. No one here is trying to reinvent the wheel. No one is trying to get famous by adding to the alphabet soup that has saturated the fire service.

Skill sets include some of the basics of Truck Company Operations: Residential and Commercial Forcible Entry, Search (searching ahead of the hose line, targeted VES), Patient Drags and Removals (to include down ladders), Ground Ladders, Can Confidence, Vertical Ventilation.
